Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit scientific articles based on final project or thesis research relevant to the field of Informatics Engineering, covering topics such as information systems, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, computer networks, IoT, and information security.

Manuscripts must be prepared using the official eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF) template, which can be downloaded from the following link:

Articles should be written in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, 6–12 pages in length, using Times New Roman 11 pt font, 1.15 line spacing, and A4 paper size. The manuscript structure should include the title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and references.

Citation and reference formatting must follow the IEEE style, where sources are cited in the order of appearance in the text, e.g., [1], [2], and so on.

Authors are required to ensure that their submissions are original works, have not been previously published, and comply with the ethical guidelines for scientific publication.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Article

Each manuscript submitted to the eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF) will be categorized according to the type of article relevant to the field of Informatics Engineering. All manuscripts must follow the journal’s established formatting and writing guidelines and will undergo a selection and review process by the editorial team before publication. Only articles that meet scientific standards, publication ethics, and official formatting requirements will be published online through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Copyright Notice

By submitting a manuscript to the eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF), authors declare that the submitted work is an original research result, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal.

The copyright of the article remains with the author; however, the author grants a non-exclusive right to the eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF) to publish the work for the first time under the Study Program’s license. Through this license, others are permitted to copy, distribute, display, or create derivative works from the article, provided proper acknowledgment is given to the author and the original source of publication, and that the same license is applied to any derivative works.

Authors are also allowed to independently disseminate the published version of their article, as long as the original publication in the eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF) is properly cited.

Privacy Statement

eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all users’ personal data, including readers, authors, reviewers, and journal administrators. This statement explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal information provided by users while using our publication system.

1. Collection of Personal Data
We may collect personal information voluntarily provided by users during registration or manuscript submission, including:

  • Full name, institutional affiliation, and email address;

  • Academic identification information (e.g., student ID number or study program);

  • Article metadata and manuscript files uploaded through the OJS system;

  • User activity data within the system, such as manuscript submission, editorial communication, and reviewer participation.

2. Use of Data
The collected data is used to:

  • Facilitate editorial, peer review, and article publication processes;

  • Send notifications regarding manuscript status, publication, or journal activities;

  • Compile internal statistics for service evaluation and quality improvement;

  • Comply with academic requirements and institutional policies of ARS University.

3. Data Protection and Security
All user data is securely stored within the Open Journal Systems (OJS) and can only be accessed by authorized editors and administrators.
We will not sell, distribute, or disclose users’ personal data to third parties without consent, except when required by applicable laws of the Republic of Indonesia.

4. Public Information Disclosure
Information such as authors’ names, affiliations, and email addresses may be displayed alongside published articles for academic identification, citation, and scientific communication purposes.

5. User Rights
Users have the right to request correction, update, or deletion of their personal data from the system by contacting the journal administrator through the official contact information available on the Contact Us page.

6. Consent
By registering or submitting a manuscript to the eProsiding Teknik Informatika (PROTEKTIF), users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms stated in this Privacy Statement.
